Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Ravist Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. ("Ravist", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use ravist.in, our radio stream, and our event ticketing service (together, the "Service").

By creating a Ravist account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What we collect

Account information. When you register — with email and password, or by continuing with Google or Facebook — we collect your email address, a username you choose, and optionally a display name, profile photo, bio, city and preferred genres. Signing in with Google or Facebook shares your name, email address and profile photo with us, as permitted by your settings with that provider; we do not receive your password for that account.

Listening activity. If you use the radio, we record what you listen to and for how long, to show you your own stats and recommend music.

Event bookings and payments. When you book tickets, we collect your name, email, phone number and the details of your order. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we store the resulting order and payment identifiers but never your card, UPI or bank details — those are handled entirely by Razorpay.

Connected platforms. If you choose to connect Spotify, YouTube Music or Instagram, we access the data needed for that feature (for example, your liked tracks) using tokens stored encrypted at rest. You can disconnect any platform at any time from your account settings, which deletes the associated tokens.

Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a device subscription identifier so we can deliver them; no message content is collected beyond what's needed to send the notification itself.

Technical data. We use your IP address to estimate your city for the purpose of showing you local events and radio content, and to keep the Service secure. We use cookies to remember your selected city and session state.

How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account, and to sign you in.
  • To operate the radio, ticketing and social features you use.
  • To send you account, booking and event-related emails, and — if you opt in — push notifications about events near you.
  • To show your public profile, listening stats or event attendance to other members, according to the privacy settings you choose.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
  • To improve the Service — for example, understanding which cities or genres are most active.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We share data only where necessary to run the Service:

  • Razorpay — to process ticket payments.
  • Google, Meta (Facebook), Spotify — only when you choose to sign in with or connect one of these, to authenticate you or sync the content you've asked us to sync.
  • Amazon Web Services — our infrastructure provider, which hosts our database, file storage and servers.
  • Event organisers, for tickets you book to their events (name and the details needed for entry/check-in).
  • Law enforcement or regulators, only where required by law.

Your choices and rights

  • You can view and edit your profile information, and set who can see your listening activity or event attendance, from your account settings at any time.
  • You can disconnect Spotify, YouTube Music, Instagram, Google or Facebook at any time. If a linked provider is your only way to sign in, we'll ask you to set a password first, so you're never locked out of your own account.
  • You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, by writing to us at the address below. We'll action deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain certain records (for example, payment records) for legal or accounting purposes.
  • You can unsubscribe from marketing or digest emails using the link in those emails.

Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption of sensitive tokens at rest and in transit, and access controls on our systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if we become aware of a breach affecting your account, as required by law.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the Service before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
