DGTL Mumbai 2026 will no longer take place in Mumbai. The promoter has moved the Mumbai edition to Goa, where it will be held on 14 and 15 November, citing ongoing licensing uncertainties affecting live events across Mumbai and Maharashtra. DGTL said its priority was to find a way for the festival to go ahead, and that more information, including next steps for existing ticket holders, will be shared shortly.

What this means for your ticket

  • All DGTL Mumbai 2026 tickets remain valid for DGTL Goa 2026. No action is needed if you plan to attend.
  • If you keep your ticket, DGTL is offering a complimentary +1 as a token of gratitude. The extra ticket will be added to your existing ticket and QR code after the refund window closes at 11:59 PM on 16 October. Check your ticket on Skillbox after that to see the update.
  • If you cannot make it to the Goa edition, you can claim a full refund. The refund window is open for 48 hours from the announcement and closes at 11:59 PM on 16 October.
  • For any queries, use the 'Help & Support' section under the 'Profile' tab on Skillbox.

Stephan Bodzin no longer performing

DGTL also confirmed that Stephan Bodzin will no longer perform at DGTL India 2026. In its statement, the promoter said it carefully reviewed the information available to it and held discussions before reaching the decision, which it said reflects the values it stands for and the responsibility it feels towards its community. No further reasons were given.

Background

Bodzin's booking had drawn public criticism since August, when Rolling Stone India reported that calls for his removal from the DGTL India 2026 lineup had grown after New Delhi producer BLOT! (Gaurav Malaker) resurfaced an account of a Kolkata show on 24 December 2025.

According to BLOT!, Bodzin's set ran around 40 minutes past its slot, and when he asked to take over, Bodzin's manager objected, threatened to hit him and berated him. These are BLOT!'s allegations and have not been independently verified. Rolling Stone India said it had contacted Bodzin's team for comment; no response was included in its report.

At the time, DGTL said it wanted its events to be safe and respectful, noted that the incident took place outside a DGTL event, and said it was reviewing the information before commenting further. Its latest statement does not say which information it reviewed.

BLOT! responds

BLOT! welcomed the decision in an Instagram reel. In his caption, he wrote that DGTL India is "now officially Indian", "run by India, made for India", and said it "takes guts to take action" on sensitive matters.

DGTL said its team is working through all necessary arrangements and thanked its artists, partners and community for their patience. No changes have been announced for DGTL Bengaluru, which remains listed for 13 November at The LaLiT Ashok.
