Biography
Zafrir’s relationship with music began long before electronic music. From an early age, he immersed himself in a wide range of instruments and sounds, eventually developing a deep fascination with traditional music from across the world.
His collection of instruments spans cultures and centuries — from Persian Tar and Turkish Oud to Santur, Greek bouzouki and Celtic harp. These influences became the foundation of a sound that bridges ancient musical traditions with contemporary electronic music.
Zafrir emerged on the international electronic scene in 2018 with “United”, alongside Armin van Buuren, Alok and Vini Vici. His collaborations have since taken him across the global electronic landscape, working with artists including Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Alok, Steve Aoki, KSHMR, Timmy Trumpet, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Argy and ARTBAT.
His discography includes “Vale Vale” with Alok, featured in the soundtrack of Free Fire, and “Boom Boom Pow” with Afrojack, released on Sony Music. His collaboration with ARTBAT and Argy on “TIBET” further explored the space between hip-hop, downtempo and electronic music.
But Zafrir’s sound is perhaps best experienced live.
His performances combine synthesizers, live looping, electronic production and the traditional instruments he has mastered over the years — often processing their sounds through effects in real time.
The result is more than an electronic set. It is a meeting point between cultures, instruments and modern technology, creating a live experience that feels distinctly his own.
