Murthovic moves through sound as both practitioner and researcher — shaping frequencies, collecting cultures, and translating them into immersive sonic experiences.

Based in Hyderabad, his journey traces back to the early days of the city’s club culture — from formative nights at Ahala, Taj Krishna to spaces like T2 — where electronic music first began to take root locally, and where Murthovic started defining his own language behind the decks.

With close to two decades in the electronic music space, he stands as one of the pioneers of India’s underground. His sound moves fluidly across House, Techno, Bass, IDM and beyond — informed by his grounding in both Western and Indian classical traditions, and refined through years of consistent touring across clubs and festivals.

From Boiler Room to Magnetic Fields, Red Bull Music, Echoes of Earth, VH1 Supersonic, NH7 Weekender, Satellite Beachside, and Sula Fest — his presence has extended globally, with performances across Australia, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Nepal, Thailand, and the UK.

Beyond performance, Murthovic’s work expands into composition, sound design, and audio-visual storytelling. He is the producer of the acclaimed electro-classical dance opera Antariksha Sanchar, and a core force behind Antariksha Studio — developing IPs such as Antara (a narrative-driven video game) and Elsewhere in India, where he serves as Music Director.

Through his studio Nadabramha, he approaches music as a ritual — a shamanic process of experiencing the world through sound. His releases with Get Physical, Qilla Records, and Antariksha Sanchar reflect an artist equally rooted in club culture and conceptual depth.

His independent work spans collaborations with institutions such as Goethe-Institut, Max Planck Institute, National Geographic, and the British Film Institute, with showcases at Latitude Festival, London Film Festival, Copenhagen International Documentary Festival, and Adelaide Fringe.

Murthovic doesn’t follow scenes — he builds them.
