Battle of the Future Buddhas

Formed in Uppsala, Sweden in 1994 by David Tingsgård, Magnus Bladh and Johan Rosén, Battle of the Future Buddhas stand among the most influential acts in the history of Swedish Goa Trance. Their fusion of classic Goa Trance, Scandinavian forest psychedelia, experimental sound design and cinematic atmosphere defined the "Uppsala Sound" — a darker, deeper interpretation of the genre that has held its place on dancefloors worldwide for three decades. Tingsgård carries the project forward through live performances and new productions, with Bladh and Rosén contributing behind the scenes on selected projects. A sought-after presence on the retro and old-school psychedelic circuit, they have appeared at ZNA Gathering, Apsara Festival, Balkan Goa Fanatics and VÉR – Exploring the Roots, alongside Suntrip Records showcases and Retro Goa gatherings across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
